Setting up the Snowflake offline system

Launch the offline system and click on Open in browser if it is not running. The Snowflake offline system should open in your device's default web browser.

The end-user license agreement will appear. Please read it carefully, and click on the I Agree or I Disagree button as appropriate.

At the prompt that pops up next, enter a name for your device. The saved device name will show up on Snowflake online, so you know which offline device your books are on.

Once you have installed the Snowflake offline system software and named your device, there are two main steps to get started:
  1. Get your licence file from Snowflake.
  2. Get the book files (.tdb files) for each of the books that you would like to read offline.

You will need to repeat these steps every time a change is made to your online subscriptions (for example, if you buy a new subscription).

  • Please note that only books that you currently have a valid subscription to will appear in the list.
  • In addition, only books whose subscriptions have been started will appear in this list. To start a subscription, log in to Snowflake (online), and click the book whose subscription you wish to start.
